| dc.description.abstract | <p>A bill is now before Congress calling for an appropriation of $3,000,000 for the purpose of securing a wild-life reservation in the Upper Mississippi Valley. The contemplated reservation is to extend about 300 miles along the river from Rock Island, Illinois, to Wabasha, Minnesota. It would therefore include bottomland areas in four states, Iowa, Illinois, Wisconsin, and Minnesota.</p> | |
