dc.description.abstract <p>Not surprisingly, the hot dry conditions we have been experiencing across the Corn Belt have many farmers and the grain industry concerned about aflatoxin, a potent mycotoxin that is produced by the fungal pathogen, Aspergillus flavus, which causes Aspergillus ear rot.</p> <p>This article will briefly summarize the biology of Aspergillus ear rot, aflatoxin production and management recommendations for the next few weeks of this growing season.</p>
