Abstract
This paper discusses N-Serve® nitrogen stabilizer from an educational standpoint. This creative component discusses what N-Serve® is, how it works, how it is used, the benefits, alterative products, and the nitrogen cycle. The purpose of discussing N-Serve® is to increase the understanding of the product and how it benefits. N-Serve® is a nitrogen stabilizer made by Corteva Agrisciences (Indianapolis, IN) that is used with anhydrous ammonia. It stabilizes nitrogen in the soils to prevent the nitrogen from loss and leaching by inhibiting the Nitrosomonas bacteria which converts ammonium in the soil into nitrite before it is further converted to nitrate by Nitrobactor bacteria. The benefits of N-Serve® is to prevent nitrogen loss while preserving soil nitrogen for crop yields and profitability, and timing savings during peak working season. This creative component will help readers understand how, when and where N-Serve® can help farmers and is accompanied by a handout as an easy reference.
