Abstract
Three things inform this novel: an established professional experience on the front of homelessness in social work, our current criminal justice system in the United States, and a dream of how things could be. House of the Moon imagines the struggles which both staff and clients face in an interstellar homeless shelter on the moon in a society and landscape remarkably similar, and perhaps not too far, far away, from ours.
