dc.description.abstract <p>For advanced aircraft gas-turbine engines greater efficiencies and higher thrust are demanded. One possibility to achieve this is to increase the gas temperature at the turbine-section. Then thermal barrier coatings are necessary to protect the metallic structures.</p>
