In memory of Krista's life, two scholarship funds have been established. The first is the Michelle Calkins Trust Fund. ·This fund, for Krista's daughter, is intended to provide support for higher education needs or in preparation for a career. The second is the Krista L Rankin Memorial Scholarship, which will provide an award to be applied toward tuition for a third year veterinary student. The award will go to a male or female student who is a parent, has demonstrated enthusiastic leadership imd service to the student body, and is interested in pursuing a career in small animal medicine or surgery.
