dc.description.abstract <p>Pigs fed conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) for the longest period had increased gain:feed ratios, decreased backfat thickness, and increased loin muscle area. Most of the performance responses to CLA, however, were obtained with shorter periods of feeding CLA.</p>
