Abstract
1905: The first courses in "Engineering," an early predecessor to General/Industrial Engineering, are initiated: Engineering I: History of Engineering and Engineering II: Specifications and Controls. A third course, Conservation of our Natural Resources, was added to the curriculum in 1914. The course covered "ways and means of preventing unnecessary destruction of our natural resources by unwise use, and preventing waste of our natural resources from disuse."
