Diseases involving the central nervous system of bovine species present a bewildering diagnostic challenge to the veterinary profession, the large animal practitioner in particular. This bewilderment can be attributed to the fact that the clinical manifestations of many of these diseases are very similar and their etiologies are not completely understood.
